About this Event
About the Training
This interactive training day will equip staff with tools and approaches to address:
- Misinformation, rage-bait and harmful narratives
- Islamophobia, antisemitism, racism, and online hate
- Social division and community tensions
- Pupil wellbeing, confidence, and inclusion
The session draws on internationally recognised educational frameworks, such as Skills Builder, and provides access to lesson plans, toolkits, and short educational films.
We invite Middlesbrough PRIMARY schools to take part in Educate & Unite, a fully funded training day designed to help school staff strengthen resilience, challenge misinformation, and support pupils following the impact of the 2024 national riots.
These sessions are strictly for Middlesbrough schools - a secondary (KS3+) day will be held on January 12th - see separate link.
There are limited spaces on the teacher training days, with the option for schools to receive free in-school pupil workshops /events, while places remain available (First Come - First Serve)
These sessions form part of the #WeAreMiddlesbrough town-wide post-riot recovery work and focus on practical strategies that build resilience, understanding, belonging, and unity within and around school communities.
