About this Event

COVID-19 has and continues to have a significant impact on our lives, especially upon the ways in which we understand the worlds in which we live.

Tihei Wa Mauri Ora is referred to as ‘tis the breath of life – tis the sneeze of life.’ It is something emerging from the unknown, the darkness (te po).

It is about potential, waiting to emerge and be identified and named.

Just like the “sneeze of life”, we have found ourselves emerging into new realities and understandings of what is important. Much of what we held before no longer seems relevant or as meaningful.

This conference is an opportunity to reflect upon our ever-changing realities, and to ask ourselves how do we, as individuals, groups, and entities, want to be and engage in these emerging worlds. It will ask us to reflect on what we have learned during these times of lock down about ourselves, other people, our world, and it will invite us to consider how we might be and do things differently.

This gathering is open not only to the Edmund Rice Network in Aotearoa – New Zealand, but also to anyone else who wants to join such conversations, listen to challenging keynote speakers, participate in engaging workshop discussions, build networks, or gain valuable insights to take back home.
