In observance of the 50th Anniversary of the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, LARC will operate Special Event Amateur Radio Station W8F "live" from Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Saturday Nov. 8, 2025 from 11 AM-3:30PM EST.We will operate SSB, CW and digital modes, satellites (conditions permitting). Watch spotting sites for QRG updates.
ALSO... from November 2 (0000 UTC) through November 15 (2359 UTC), many LARC members will operate signing as W8F, from their home stations. Hams who have logged a QSO with W8F from 11/2-11/15 may request our commemorative certificate/QSL. Please see the W8F page on QRZ.com <https:> for more info and instructions to request your certificate download (no postal, email or LotT/eQSL/QRZ QSLs). Watch spotting sites for updates to operating frequencies, and please spot our ops when you see them!
