I’m bringing a one-day studio lighting workshop to Syracuse — focused entirely on the craft of portraiture and the creative control that comes with understanding light inside and out.
This isn’t a “plug in and go” kind of class. We’re going deeper — into how subtle shifts in lighting design shape mood, texture, and meaning. We’ll explore single-light setups, multi-light builds, modifiers, color, shadow control — all of it. And more importantly, why we choose one approach over another.
We’ll be working in a studio environment, hands-on and collaborative. You’ll see how I work through a lighting scenario from scratch, then get time to shoot, experiment, and refine your own setups with feedback and guidance along the way. This is where technical precision meets creative intent — not just how to use lights, but how to make them say something.
Whether you’re newer to the studio or already confident with gear but want to evolve your look, this class is about sharpening your instincts and refining your craft.
