10.30-11.30am | Lecture: Edith Collier – Adventure in Art
Jill Trevelyan, curator and co-author of the Edith Collier book, will discuss Edith’s artistic development and modernist works produced during her years abroad from 1913 to 1921. The lecture will explore her response to World War I and the lasting impact of her work.
1.00-2.30pm | Lightning Kōrero: Edith Collier Exhibition
Contributing writers from the book Edith Collier: Early New Zealand Modernist will share insights on selected works in the exhibition. Speakers include Jill Trevelyan, Scott Flutey, Celia Thompson, Airini Beautrais, and Gordon Collier.
