From November 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, glide along a purpose-built ice rink on George Street, surrounded by the city's charming architecture. Whether you're a seasoned skater or a first-timer, the rink offers sessions suitable for all ages and skill levels. Special sessions include relaxed timings for those seeking a quieter experience, toddler sessions for younger skaters, and late-night skates for adults looking to enjoy the ice under the stars. Skating aids, such as penguin-shaped supports, are available for children at an additional cost. For safety, bags are not permitted on the ice and must be checked into the cloakroom for a fee. Skate hire is included in the ticket price, but you're also welcome to bring your own skates, subject to suitability checks. The minimum skate size boot on the rink is a children's size 8, and the maximum is an adult size 15. Please arrive 20 minutes before your time slot to get your skates on before your session starts. For safety reasons, you are not allowed to take photographs whilst on the ice. However, spectators can take photos from the viewing platforms around the rink.
