About this Event

Come along to a free workshop for activists in Glagsow/Edinburgh/Aberdeen to learn about the plans for a new gas burning power station in Peterhead, and how we can work together across campaigns to end new fossil fuel projects and strengthen the wider anti-fossil fuel movement.

This will be an open and welcoming space where both seasoned activists and people new to the anti-fossil fuel movement can engage in collective learning. We’ll hear about the long history of failure of carbon capture and how companies use it to greenwash fossil fuel expansion, as well as specifically what is being planned in Peterhead.

You can expect discussions about a Just Transition and alternative futures for Peterhead, planning actions for key moments and making connections between different groups.

We will also be sharing a delicious free dinner!
