Julieta and Brian invite you to join them for a class titled “Sacadas and Energy” - How we can use basic sacadas to change energy in our dancing.
Julieta is from Buenos Aires and has been dancing Tango for over twenty five years. As a dancer she is very active in the European and Buenos Aires scene. Julieta started teaching with guided practicas in 2005. She has been teaching group classes since 2008.
Brian flirted with ballroom then committed to salsa. He taught salsa for over fifteen years and is a member of The UK Alliance of Professional Dance Teachers. Brian started dancing tango in 2000 and began helping with tango classes in 2006.
The Edinburgh International Tango Festival ran from 2007-2018, Brian and Julieta are both founders and organisers of this prestigious event. They have curated many events with world class visiting teachers and Brian has brought many bands to Edinburgh.
In 2014 Julieta and Brian began teaching regularly for the Edinburgh University Tango Society and continue to do so. They teach with clarity, patience and passion, presenting tango with calm elegance!
20.00-23.00 Our usual relaxed, friendly Milonga with the wonderful 🌟Willie Green🌟as DJ!
There is a cash/card bar. ( The bar license does not permit alcohol from elsewhere to be consumed on the premises.) Tea, coffee and homemade snacks will be available!
