About this Event
This course is for learners working within Barnardo's as part of their induction or as their three yearly refresher and will pay particular emphasis on understanding ‘Equality, Diversity & Inclusion’ and how to work within legislative and local policies and procedures and demonstrate the good practice in line with Barnardo’s Policies, Procedures & EDI Implementation & Business Plan.
The course is being delivered by Barnardo's Training & Consultancy Service (BTC) on behalf of regions & nations within England & Scotland Children’s Services, Innovation & Development, Business Lines staff.
Learning Outcomes:
- To explore the concepts of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, the relationships between them and how we make it happen
- Understanding key terms within inclusive practice e.g. microaggressions, privilege, intersectionality
- To gain a better understanding of the equality legislative framework in the UK
- To reflect on what inclusive practice looks like and how to embed it into team culture
