Creating life seals is a symbolic journey into your subconscious mind. Anyone can create their life seal because they are a tool for the individual that can be used for personal motivation and self-discovery. In creating a life seal, individuals are trying to get in touch with something within themselves. The purpose is to put together ideas from the imagination, life experiences, and the unconscious. The Edgar Cayce readings suggested life seals are reminders of an individual’s life potential. The seals generally consist of a few prominent symbols that have meaning for the individual. In this course, we will use techniques to obtain symbols for the seal, practice meditation, and be directed through a reverie to discover our own personal imagery. Finally, we will place the symbols into a simple drawing that can be used for personal reflection. No artistic skills are necessary, and the art materials will be provided.
Dr. Susan B. Barnes, CSNU, is a Spiritualist National Union certificate holder. She is an international medium and award-winning author of 11 books, including “Visual Spirituality” and “Unfolding Physical Mediumship.” Her artwork has been exhibited in the United States and Europe. Susan teaches mediumship and spirit art classes for the Afterlife Research and Education Organization and the Lily Dale Assembly. She has successfully completed programs at Edgar Cayce’s ARE and participates in their Speakers Program.
