To start off, we'll have the chance to hear from three founders, each representing their respective university, as they share their unique entrepreneurial journeys, followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions. Following this, Cat Ward from Elevator UK will provide us with valuable insights into their Academic Accelerator program, set to take place over the summer.

The Founders:

Matthew Neil, Co-Founder of CriticiseAI. CriticiseAI was born out of our shared frustration with the limitations of traditional feedback methods in education. Recognising the challenges faced by lecturers, our AI-powered platform offers a new approach to expedite feedback workflows. The solution comes in the form of a user-friendly, AI-powered web application. It allows users to upload their essays alongside their course details to receive customised and reliable feedback, enhancing the student experience. Sabine Klaus-Carter, is the woman behind Creation Editor - a corporate video production that creates video works for start ups, sole traders, large corporations, and charities. With a keen eye for storytelling and a commitment to capturing the essence of each client's brand, they deliver compelling visual narratives that resonate with their clients' audiences. From impactful promotional videos to documenting events to educational training videos to heartfelt nonprofit campaigns, Sabine and her team combines creativity and professionalism to bring their clients' vision to life. Oliver Lee – Founder of Digichem – Molecular modelling is the study of molecules (and their properties) using computer simulations. This powerful technique allows scientists and researchers to develop new materials much faster than they would be able to in the real world, and underpins much of the development in organic LEDs, solar cells, drug discovery, and many other fields. However, the technique is challenging to learn and cumbersome to use, limiting its appeal particularly for non-experts. At Digichem, we’re changing that, primarily by developing software tools that make the process as easy to learn as anyone would hope. Oli is a very-very-nearly-finished Chemistry PhD student at the University of St Andrews, and along with his supervisor Eli, and their business advisor Vlad, their startup aims to make molecular modelling accessible for all.

Jack McMillan - After working in university entrepreneurship for 5+ years, Jack McMillan left to launch his company Creator Campus. Creator Campus is a networking platform for universities that enables students to find co-founders, build a team, and discover exciting entrepreneurial opportunities on campus. Jack will navigate the journey of searching for a co-founder, and shed some light on how to successfully (and safely) bring them on board.
