Kim Cruse is a soulful R&B vocalist and songwriter from Woodville, Texas, known for her powerful voice, emotive performances, and rising presence in the music scene. She grew up in a small Texas town where music was part of her life from a young age, singing in church and later serving as a worship leader in her father’s congregation. She continued honing her craft through school choirs and earned a music scholarship to Stephen F. Austin State University as her talents developed.
Cruse’s national breakthrough came on NBC’s The Voice (Season 22), where she earned a four-chair turn during her blind audition and advanced to the Top 8 as part of Team Legend. Her performances showcased her rich blend of classic soul and contemporary R&B, earning praise from coaches and fans alike. Following The Voice, Kim has continued releasing music, including her 2025 album Mixed Emotions and uplifting singles such as “It’s Giving,” which celebrate confidence and self-empowerment.
