Ecstatic Plunge: Presented by Ecstatic Dance Pittsburgh + Pittsburgh TubClubGet ready to dive into the ultimate Ecstatic Dance Experience with a day of exhilarating wellness practices designed to ignite your soul and invigorate your entire being.
Let’s cheer each other on and “take the plunge” as we dance to an exhilarating live DJ set throughout our cold plunge experience that will take us on a true journey through nervous system regulation, empowerment, and bliss!
Featuring a full program of somatic movement, cold water plunges, music, meditation, and conscious community, this event is everything your mind, body, and soul has ever wanted on a hot summer day.
What to expect:
Ecstatic Dance:** Dance allows an opportunity for the body to release trapped emotion, energy and stress. When we dance, we completely surrender to the rhythm, leading to natural states of ecstasy and bliss. Come as you are and move as you wish to the infectious beats of our live DJ and bangin’ sound system provided by Manifest Sound System. with opening circle led by Ecstatic Dance Pittsburgh founder and lead supporter, Tricia Chirumbole.
Cold Plunges:** Far more than learning theory, participants learn via direct experience by exposing themselves to the potent sensation of ice water. They rely on their breath to transition themselves from a fight/flight reaction to a calmer state of deep presence. Ignite your senses and take back your power with invigorating cold water plunges provided by Eric ten Pas & Tyler Butler of Pittsburgh TubClub. (participants will sign up for their preferred time spot upon check-in)
Live DJ:** Spinning tapestries of sound from around the world to accompany your cold plunge experience, Pittsburgh based vocalist and sonic magician, Jessica Rosario takes you on an epic wave as you completely surrender to the flow of spirit within you. Featuring a high energy mix of global electronica, afro-house, and deep tribal beats.
Somatic Foundational Warm-Up:** Set the stage for inner exploration with a guided somatic warm-up led by local health coach Tyler Butler, who specializes in embodiment practices – mindful self-regulation, nervous system awareness, interoception, proprioception, balance, and stress resilience.
Closing Sound Meditation:** Drift into a state of bliss with a mesmerizing sound bath led by Vocalist Jessica Rosario and Guitarist Nice Nate that will leave you feeling grounded and fully rejuvenated. (Bring a mat or blanket to get comfy)
Social Hour:** Connect with other guests and share your experiences in our vibrant community space after the event.
Food Truck:** Stay fueled up and enjoy the best tacos in town, hosted by 412 Tacos
What to bring:
Swimmies + a towel (dressing rooms on-site)
