This event is outdoors with plenty of covered shelter to keep you comfortable!
What to expect:
Ecstatic Dance:**
Dance allows an opportunity for the body to release trapped emotion, energy and stress. When we dance, we completely surrender to the rhythm, leading to natural states of ecstasy and bliss. Come as you are and move as you please to the infectious beats of our live DJ and bangin’ sound system, with opening intentions led by Ecstatic Dance Pittsburgh founder and lead supporter, Tricia Chirumbole.
Cold Plunges & Saunas:**
Indulge your senses with invigorating cold water plunges and soothing sauna rounds provided by Eric ten Pas, Tyler Butler, and Andrew McDonald of Pittsburgh TubClub. Far more than learning theory, participants learn via direct experience by exposing themselves to the potent sensations of ice and heat, a therapeutic practice known as Contrast Therapy. They rely on their breath to transition themselves from a fight/flight reaction to a calmer state of deep presence.

Live DJ:**
Spinning tapestries of sound from around the world to accompany your Day of the Dance experience, Pittsburgh based vocalist and mix artist, Jessica Rosario guides you on an epic wave of transformation as you completely surrender to the flow of spirit within you. Featuring a supernatural mix of global electronica and deep tribal beats.
Somatic Warm-Up & Breathwork:**
Set the stage for inner exploration with a guided somatic warm-up led by local health coach Tyler Butler, who specializes in embodiment practices – mindful self-regulation, nervous system awareness, interoception, proprioception, balance, and stress resilience.
Closing Meditation:** Sink inward for a deeply grounding experience, inviting participants to reflect on the transformative journey of the day. Through gentle breathwork and stillness, we will honor the themes of death, rebirth, and renewal, creating space for release and inner peace. This final moment of quiet connection will bring the event to a serene and reflective close, leaving you centered, revitalized, and in harmony with the energy of transformation.
Costume Contest:**

Food Truck:**
Stay fueled up and enjoy the warmth of some earthly home style cooking from Traditions Café
What to bring:
Swimmies + a towel / robe (dressing rooms on-site)
Change of clothes (you’ll want to warm back up after you plunge)
Plenty of water or other non-alcoholic bevs (Ecstatic Plunge is an alcohol free event)
