Kimba Jade & Bernie Cruise are thrilled to be hosting a special Summer Solstice Ecstatic Dance — a night to move, release, and celebrate the turning of the seasons. 🎉
☀️ Summer Solstice Celebration
As we gather close to the longest day of the year, we honour the light, abundance, and life that the Sun brings. The Solstice marks a time of illumination, gratitude, and renewal — a powerful moment to celebrate all that has blossomed, and to release what no longer serves as we prepare to turn toward the next cycle.
Together, we’ll weave a simple solstice honouring and meditation before the dance to ground into our intentions and connection with the elements. We’ll close the evening with chai, chocolate, and community — a warm space to share reflections, smiles, and heart connection.
🎶 What is Ecstatic Dance?
A freeform, drug- and alcohol-free dance experience where you move however your body wants. The music flows like a wave — starting slow, rising to ecstatic peaks, then softening into stillness. It’s therapeutic, uplifting, and a powerful way to connect with yourself.
Please note, this Ecstatic Dance is not verbally guided — we let the music guide you 😊. Dance freely, how your body moves you.
🎶 The Dance Floor
Guided by DJ Codaraan (Bernie Cruise), expect an immersive journey through deep bass, tribal rhythms, and global soundscapes that awaken both body and spirit. His music will invite you to move and connect with your body, expect an enticing groove-focused journey that builds slowly, allowing you to find your flow at your pace.
🎶 The Sound System
Here at Ecstatic Dance Wellington, we believe in using a phat sound system with lots of bass for our dances. Expect an ultra-vibey, deeply immersive experience!
