Come dance with us May 1st! HOOPLAH will be guiding us through our next ecstatic dance! New to ecstatic dance? No problem, we will guide you through the entire experience.
Ecstatic Dance is the perfect place to discover and express your most authentic self on the dance floor. Ecstatic Dance offers a safe space to implement the medicine of movement for the betterment of one's overall health. Intentions for ecstatic dancing include physical improvement, emotional release, deeper connection to self, a better relationship with the body and so much more. Other benefits and aspects of Ecstatic dance is the culture that is found in the community.
The beginning of the event is designed to give attendees the opportunity to be introduced to ecstatic dance in the opening circle as well as give space for some socializing. Dance is 2 hours and begins after opening circle. A short sound bath follows to lower the energy and then the evening is closed with a sharing circle. Sharing circle gives dancers the opportunity to share their experience and or gratitude for the facilitators. There is time & space for more socializing after the sharing circle and we encourage new comers to attend the full experience. Cacao will usually be available during the event but costs extra. If you are unfamiliar with cacao, you may do your own research or ask the host upon arrival. The Ecstatic Dance communities are known for creating safe & non-judgmental spaces for all walks of life to feel welcome, seen, heard and free to express on the dance floor without the constraints of any routine or direction.

Schedule:
7 - 7:30 p.m. ~ Cacao, Socializing, Opening
7:30 - 9:30 p.m.~ Ecstatic Dance
9:30 - 10 p.m. ~ Sound Bath & Sharing
*Cacao will be available throughout the event and costs extra $.*

$20 per adult
$5 per child under 13 yrs.
