About this Event
You're Invited to the Ecstatic Dance Spring and Cacao Ceremony 🌸🤎🌸
Join us for an evening of deep connection with the breath, our hearts, music, and each other.
The intention of the event is to join forces and energy to create a space of release, healing, and integration. We will come together in ceremony to honor our bodies, spirit and mind.
We begin with individual sage cleansing and an introduction circle, acknowledging each other's divine presence as we close our eyes and delve into a breathwork session to connect with our life force.
After connecting with our breath, we will commence the heart opening cacao ceremony. The ceremonial cacao for the ceremony comes from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta on the Carribbean coast. I was fortunate enough to form a part of the community in the region that sustainably sources the cacao beans in collaboration with the indigenous tribes. I bring this cacao to you with a lot of love and respect for the process of creation and integration.
As we drink, we set our intentions for the dance.
I will guide the group into a flow of meditation through dance. To let go of preconceived notions of what dancing is and enter a state of flow with our bodies and the music. However, to enter this meditative state, there are two important rules —no phones and no talking.
As the music progresses, so will the BPM. We will gently and fiercely ride the wave and allow it to bring us into a state of ecstasy and release. As we come down, we will be greeted with the medicine of sound healing and return to the floor to surrender our bodies to the sound and ground completely.
Within ourselves we will feel the waves of energy we create as a community in a space of healing. Located at Adanne's Bookstore we honor the stories of our ancestors and those who came before us while sharing and opening our hearts with one another.
Please bring a piece of fruit to add to the altar and share once the dance is over.
With love and gratitude for the creations of Earth,
