Welcome to Ecstatic Dance at Yogalution Long Beach with Music by SHOSHI & ARIANA BATES plus Opening Yoga . Kelly Matten will be hosting tea and herbalism before the dance!
Ecstatic Dance combines the Freedom of a DJ'd Festival Experience with the Awareness of a Conscious Dance Practice.
Everyone is invited to come move with us and have fun! Are you a regular dancer or is this your first time? This is a great way to find your dance, play and make friends.
Meet Your Event Leaders
DJ Shoshi is on a mission to help us connect and express ourselves. Sparking sound systems with boogie down beats, hypnotic rhythms and heart-opening melodies, Shoshi is the dance floor mama inviting your most human parts out to play. You can find her coaching DJs to wield their own magic in Powerhouse DJ School with Tasha Blank, and leading workshops in Voice & Improv, all around the globe. DJ Ariana Bates
Ariana Bates is a community leader and DJ who’s soul mission is to activate the body and awaken the heart through movement and connection. She has been leading movement events in LA & beyond since 2012. Her musical inspo includes: afro beats, thick bass, club anthems, house, salty slow jams and drums from across the globe. More About Ecstatic Dance-
Modern day Ecstatic Dance started on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2000. Over the last decade, this movement continued to spread, and you can now find Ecstatic Dances happening in almost every major city in the world. Ecstatic Dance creates a safe container for dance; please honor these guidelines: 1) move how it feels good for you + respect others, 2) substance free event, 3) no talking on the dance floor, 4) refrain from photography, be present and dance.
