About this Event
As we are now officially in the winter season, it is the perfect time to add some kindling upon that inner hearth space and continue dreaming into what is to come.
This Ecstatic Dance Journey: Stoking the Fire is a mix of ceremony, ritual, and free movement. Similar to a shamanic journey, an ecstatic dance journey is a place to "dream into" and with the use of various music genres we explore thoughts, sensations, emotions, and altered states of consciousness.
This is intentionally space to explore what you need without pressure. That may mean dancing furiously or joyfully, stomping, shaking, rolling on the floor, laughing, toning, crying, or even being still. In whatever way you feel called to journey, it is welcome (as long as you do not infringe upon another individuals safety or boundaries).
All parts of you are welcome in this space--the joy, sadness, fear, anger, playfulness. Explore! Be! Release! Ask yourself in each moment, "what do I need?"
In our time together in community, we will: weave sacred space, explore a movement lexicon, embark on an ecstatic dance journey through curated music intended to facilitate a journey intended to stoke our inner fire. As we land back, we will experience connection to each other, and a closing circle.

We will flow through opening ceremony (face painting optional), movement lexicon, dance, connection, closing ceremony.
*Wear comfortable clothes, and bring a water bottle.
