When ceremony becomes pure play: an explosive convergence of rhythm, expression and passion!
As the season is about to shift, we invite you to join us for an evening of juicy celebration, togetherness, and untamed expression under the late summer sky 😍🍇✨
Turning up the heat with the unmissable Mixwell, music producer and DJ from Lake Atitlan - Guatemala and his tropical, sultry, high-voltage bangers that will get your body moving and your wild spirit glowing. Expect sexy grooves and jungle energy to lift the vibe all the way up! We'll kick off the evening with a sacred & playful cacao activation + warm up led by Ecstatic Dance Cardiff founder Sea Gypsee. Get ready to go straight and safely into your heart and body with the perfect blend of depth, connection and mischief! To close the night, sound alchemist Oyu, powerful voice weaver from China, will bring the dragon energy: grounded, fierce and full of mystery, inviting the waves of rhythm to ripple through our bodies and melt into our core...

This is the essence of what we want to create. More than just a party, (which of course it is too!) it is also a gathering that build meaningful relationships and connectivity, authentic purpose and loving kindness. We are community that learn how to tap into the natural ways to celebrate life and grow together.
On this night, we will enjoy nature, meditate, set intention, dance freely, connect, lift up our energies to the highest states. A time to infuse our intentions as the sublime cacao, music and sounds circulate through our bodies. A time to fill our cups majestically, enliven our spirits in true community and remind ourselves how amazing we are! ✨🌈 💖

Arrival
6pm - 7pm
Delight in the beautiful surroundings of coed hills rural art space. You can enjoy a wonder in the forest garden, the stone circle, the woods, have a pick at the eco sustainable constructions or have a sauna.
Cacao Activation & Intention Setting w/ Sea Gypsee
7pm - 7.15pm
At the beginning of this session, we will introduce ceremonial cacao. As well as being incredibly delicious, ceremonial cacao helps us to ground, enhance our dance experience and open our hearts. It can also gently guide us to connect with hidden dimensions of ourselves. At Ecstatic Dance Cardiff we prepare cacao with great respect for the indigenous wisdom keepers of this master plant medicine, infusing it with prayers, songs and love during the whole preparation process ✨
As we sip Ceremonial Cacao with intention and through a guided meditation to open our hearts, we will call in an intention for this year. The effects of cacao can vary from one person to another, but you can expect an improvement of mood and pleasure, stimulation of mental alertness and heart expansion.
As well as being one of the most potent superfood on the planet, this ceremonial grade cacao will help you to reach a state of mild euphoria, without altering your consciousness. It's a beautiful heart-opener and with intention, it can help you enhance your wellbeing to the next level. It truly is the new way to dance without alcohol and we absolutely love it!

Ecstatic Dance w/ DJ Mixwell
7:15pm - 9pm
You are invited to this safe, playful space, where the whole of you is welcomed. In this session, you will gently be guided to breathe, let go of stress, recharge and move as you feel. Dancing and cultivating authentic movement from the inside is deeply nurturing and healing. Be prepared to deeply connect with the elements, move, sweat, experience and enjoy!
🌊 Unlike clubbing, ecstatic dance sets are built like "waves" moving from slow and mellow, to very dynamic and everything else in between; gently guiding you to stretch your body and mind in many directions, to experience the vast spectrum of your emotions with mindfulness and wild abandon. Most of the time when people dance it is to look good to others, but here, we dance to connect with our authentic natural selves.
Dragon Sound Journey w/ Oyu Sound
9pm - 9.20pm
After the dance, we will land back safely on the ground and drop into the liminal space. As we receive a masterful sound bath from Darren Austin Hall with delightful scents, we will naturally experience a state of deep relaxation and harmony. A special cocooning moment to surrender and benefit from an increased sense of wellbeing, expanded awareness, and access to inner visionary experience..
Closing Circle w/ Sea Gypsee
9.20-9.30pm
We gather in circle to close the evening. This is a chance to feel connected in peace as a tribe. We tune into what is present within us, share and receive others experience in authenticity and non judgment. There will also be a chance to talk more by the fire after the dance.
Social Time
9.30-10pm
After the dance, for those who wish to stay, there will be food and a time for us to just be together.

Excited to welcome again Setondji - a South Wales based chef born in Benin who brings great energy and delicious food to our dance commmunity. You might have met him on the dance floor or when he offered his foraging & food workshop at Coed Ffest last year!

ECSTATIC DANCE IS A SPACE FOR US TO LET GO OF STRESS, RECHARGE, EXPLORE MOVEMENT AND RELEASE. AS WE LISTEN DEEPER TO YOUR BODIES, THE DANCEFLOOR OPENS THE DOOR TO FLOWING WITH OUR EMOTIONS, CONNECT WITH OTHERS AND EXPERIENCE EUPHORIC RELEASE. NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED AND THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG WAY TO MOVE. THE FACILITATOR GIVES OPPORTUNITIES TO PLAY BUT WE ARE TOTALLY FREE TO ENGAGE OR DO OUR OWN THING WITH THE DANCE.

Born in the cultural melting pot of Montreal, and based in the sacred volcanic highlands of Guatemala's Lake Atitlan, Mixwell takes inspiration from both the organic sounds of the earth that surround him as well as the diverse musical lineages of the world's ancestral cultures that channel this earth-spirit into song and dance. All of these global sounds are masterfully woven with modern production, deep juicy bass and percussion driven beats, creating a unique and powerful dance journey. A staple in the global ecstatic dance scene, Mixwell joins us in Cardiff for his Welsh debut as part of his 2025 world tour!

Sea Gypsee is an Ecstatic Dance DJ and facilitator on a mission to inspire people to boldly engage in their life with heart and soul. By re-connecting with our inner body wisdom and through the dynamic practice of the 5 elements, Seagypsee hold space with depth, authenticity and softness. She will be offering the cacao activation before the dance.
Seagypsee is the creatrix of Ecstatic Dance Cardiff. She offers her unique energy in the conscious scene for places such as Ecstatic Dance UK in London, Love Ecstatic Dance Paris, Ecstatic Dance Brighton, Ecstatic Dance Bristol, Cosmic Dance in Frome, Baumka Conscious Clubbing in Manchester and also creates offerings at conscious festivals such as All About Love, Medicine Festival, Boomtown, Anthropos among others, as well as holding embodiment retreats in France.

➤ OYU SOUND
Oyu is passionate about weaving ancient Chinese wisdom of Daoism, power of breath and our voices to help us dissolve into non dual state of consciousness. She has a deep connection with nature and is often guided by the wisdom of trees. She creates songs that brings harmony, openness and timelessness into the space she holds.
She has been bringing the dragon awakening vocal rituals to festivals like Being Gathering in Portugal, Medicine Festival and Love Jam Campout in the UK.
