Our Ecstatic Dance event is all about letting go, connecting with others, and having a blast on the dance floor. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to let loose, we look forward to connecting with you!

What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a free form style of dance where you are invited to surrender and move freely to the rhythm of the music leading you to states such as meditation, ecstasy, trance, ease, harmony and playful connection with others. This is a safe space to let go of self-judgment, to break out of your shell and be our true unique selves. This dance is a fantastic tool to get out of your head and into your body & to be present in this very moment.
The dance is pure authentic self expression. The invitation is to be sober of drugs and alcohol, refrain from speaking to one another & to not use our phones/cameras. There will be many bodies moving, by themselves or with others, in whatever way it wants to manifest at the time. This is a space where everything is welcome such as laughing, stomping, crying, jumping or howling. Be exactly as you are in each moment! There is no experience required & absolutely everyone is welcome. Come join us for a beautiful evening of celebrating life!

Meet your Facilitator:
Born and raised in California, Joey's mission is to bring music, play & joy into guided ecstatic dance journeys. He currently divides his year between Hawaii, Costa Rica & Canada offering events. This summer he is based in Canmore, Canada and hosts a biweekly Ecstatic Dance event at The Yoga Lounge.
