🌿🏡✨ Join Us at Our Ecovillage Open Day! ✨🏡🌿Looking for inspiration on sustainable living?
Come and join us for a tour and a talk about sustainable living - you'll learn about the history of the ecovillage, some highs and lows and ... what Narara Ecovillage is all about!
We invite you to come discover how we are putting our ideas around ecological, social and economic potential into action:
* shared food growing, natural retreats and Permaculture spaces
* shared community and workplaces
* examples of highly efficient low-carbon homes now and in the next stage
10:15 – tea/coffee, meet some ecovillagers & check out the plants for sale grown in our nursery
10:30 – first tour departs
11:45 – talk in Village Hall
12:45 – optional; join some members for more of a chat (BYO food or order from our coffee cart before 11am)
Keep an eye for the afternoon activities - you'll need to book separately for those.
This month we have an optional 1pm walk around the green space of the village and a 2pm special talk by Paulo Golsalves de Oliviera about his PhD on Economic Sustainability for Small Value-based Communities – A Systemic Approach.
We are a member of the Global Ecovillage Network and have our own distinct community which track data on how we work towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Ecovillage Map of Regeneration.
The IPCC reports that what the world needs most is ecologically aware and socially innovative experimental communities that network with each other and provide educational outreach and positive examples of a better world.
We aim to achieve this - imperfectly!
