About this Event

Economic understanding and planning is often a limiting factor for regenerative, organic and pioneering projects that have so much potential to create a more beautiful world. Hamish studied economics at Bsc and Msc level whilst applying this to regenerative farming and successful enterprise over the last 8 years. On this workshop we will cover regenerative economics, from business models to financial foerecasting and tools to make all of this simpler and more exciting than economics might appear! The day will also cover crowdfunding and other collective fundraising models essential to finance the regenerative transition.

This workshop focuses on the following topics:

  • Economics of growing
  • Factors for success; optimising growing & business systems
  • Financial tools
  • Business planning
  • Crowdfunding and collective funding models

One aim of this workshop is to resource and support you to be confident in making your projects, dreams, farms and businesses thrive. It will be growing and land focused but applicable to all enterprise and projects. A few simple take away tools and mindsets will hopefully foster a successful and viable future for your regenerative work, and our team is happy to support you on this journey with advice and support further down the line. we hope this workshop can be a window into possibility as well as a pragmatic overview of regenerative economics in our contexts.

The day will be a mixture of workshop time in the barn (in our beautiful solar powered earth floor classroom with farm views!), some activities and practical outside time on the farm also. Coffee, tea and refreshments provided in the morning and a delicious lunch from the land at 1pm. Note: please access the land using the new lower field visitor access at the end of broadmoor lane, not the main farm deliveries entrance.

We have sliding scale ticket pricing options available, with supported tickets for low income individuals or new entrant growers. Please get in touch if you have any dietary or other needs for the workshops! We look forward to welcoming you to the farm and taking the regenerative leap together!
