Econoline Crush: A New ChapterOrigin & Rise (1992–2000)
Formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1992, Econoline Crush quickly emerged as one of Canada's defining industrial rock ands. Led by vocalist Trevor Hurst, they released the EP Purge (1994), followed by their full-length Affliction (1995), garnering critical attention and a Juno nomination. Their 1997 album The Devil You Know went platinum and produced hits like “All That You Are X3)”, which charted strongly in both Canada and the U.S. The late 1990s also saw singles like “You Don’t Know What It’s Like” from Brand New History gaining widespread radio play.
Hiatus and Return (2001–2011)
After mixed critical reception and industry setbacks, the band went on hiatus around 2002. Hurst explored other musical venues before reuniting Econoline Crush in 2006. They released Ignite in 2008 and the EP The People Have Spoken, Vol. 1 in 2011. Recent Years & Personal Journey A major shift occurred when Trevor Hurst became a psychiatric nurse, working in Indigenous communities in southwestern Manitoba—an experience he discussed in 2024 interviews. This dual-spirit life continued as the band continued to produce music, releasing their latest full-length album When the Devil Drives in October 2023.

Econoline Crush has announced a brand-new single titled “New Gold Magic”, set to drop on September 26, 2025—their latest creative offering as they continue to evolve their industrial-rooted sound with more songwriting-led rock.
