Ecology of Harvest Mice – Talk & Meet the MiceTo book, go to: www.watchtree.co.uk/events
Join the Cumbria Harvest Mice Project for a fascinating insight into one of Britain’s most enchanting and elusive mammals. This special event explores the ecology of the harvest mouse – our smallest native mammal – and the exciting work underway to reintroduce them into suitable habitats here at Watchtree Nature Reserve.
You’ll learn about the unique lives of harvest mice, the habitats they depend on, and why conservation projects like this are so important for their future in Cumbria. The talk will also cover how Watchtree’s landscapes are being managed to support these tiny climbers as part of the reintroduction programme.
The highlight of the session is the chance to meet the mice up close and witness their incredible climbing skills – a truly memorable experience for nature lovers of all ages.
Our Coffee Shop will be open throughout the event, serving a range of hot food and drinks.
***Please note that food and drink purchased outside the Coffee shop is not permitted.***
