About this Event

To kick off our community cycling festival you are invited to an ecology and foraging bike tour of the area just to the north and west of Civic Street with Lauren Lochrie of Herbal Homestead ?

You can find the route here. There are a couple of hills but we'll ride at a gentle pace, and you don't need to be very fit as we will stop occasionally to take in our surroundings. It's just under 7 miles in total.

We'll pause for a picnic around 1pm, where we'll forage some food to eat, and learn more about the ecosystems along the Kelvin. A light lunch of snacks will be provided but you could also bring your own food.

Then we'll cycle to Hamiltonhill Claypits for a herbal workshop on how to make a Plantain rub to soothe bites and stings.

We've got bikes and helmets we can lend you, just let us know how tall you are and any specific needs.

Please also let us know if you have any food allergies.

Hope to see you there!
