The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM), Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM), and Dow Malaysia are collaborating to organize the inaugural 5KM Eco-Run for Inclusion in support of NASOM Teluk Pulai Centre’s new playground made of recycled shoe materials and sustainable (water-based & solvent-free) solutions. The objectives of the Eco-Run are to create awareness for autism community and to support circularity by showing that shoe waste can be converted as raw materials for infrastructure builds.
The event combines the goals of promoting inclusivity with environmental sustainability, fostering a sense of community and togetherness, raising awareness and support for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) community, and supporting NASOM Teluk Pulai’s initiative for a playground made from recycled shoes and sustainable materials.
