In this day long eco metals workshop you will learn how to use your studio equipment to melt down pieces of precious metal and turn them into fabulous pieces of cast jewellery. We will explore different ways of re-using old silver, including sand casting, and using Ingot moulds to fabricate wire and sheet that you can use to make new jewellery. Our tutors will provide expert guidance on which metals can be successfully recycled and will discuss impurities, metal melting equipment and techniques used to get the most out of your old or scrap metal pieces.
