We invite you to join us for another year of lighting up the night in Waxahachie. We will provide more details later, as entry forms will be available after Labor Day.
Lineup will begin at 5pm, at Getzendaner Park, in basically the same location as this year’s 4th of July parade, but one street south. Judging will take place at 5:30pm, with the parade starting at 6pm.
Crowds for this parade are extremely big, with the bulk being in the town square. Those who are joining us for the first time, please be sure to pick your jaws up off your lap when you turn into the square and see the spectacle.
For those of you who are new to this event, start making your plans now. Lights go quickly at local stores, so purchase decorations early.
Rules are the same as our 4th of July parades. No jumping in and out of the Jeeps, no throwing candy, and your Jeep must be lit up.
Another important note is no Santa Claus costumes. You are welcome to wear a Santa style hat, but no outfits.
More info coming later.
We’re happy to answer any questions and will offer advice and tips later.
