Join us on Sunday, October 20th, at 2:00 PM dive into the origins of werewolves, witch's trinkets, and Texas ghost towns with Erin Frigo. Then, at 3:00 PM, embark on a guided history hike led by Dr. Paul Katz. Participants will explore six historic sites, ranging from 1840 to 1960, starting at the Gilvin Education Building, walking out to the bluff, down to the windmill, and back along the base of the bluff. Maps will be provided, and we'll spend time at each location discussing its historical significance.
The total distance is about 2.3 miles and will take approximately two hours. Wear sturdy shoes, as we’ll detour off the main trail into the channel of West Amarillo Creek to visit one of the sites. Remember to wear a hat and bring water!
