Join us on a Sikh heritage walk, as we explore Sikhism’s beliefs, history, architecture, and the role of the gurudwara (a place of worship) as both a spiritual and community centre. Through stories, symbolism & surroundings we will gain insight into how Sikh heritage has shaped lives and continues to inspire. Explore how religious devotion and Punjabiyat overlap in terms of language, community, seva, langar (community kitchen), festivals & daily life. Also we’ll be exploring the architectural elements like domes, sarovar, courtyard, Mughal & Sikh influences, inscriptions & frescos. At Rakab Ganj Gurudwara, we find history of sacrifice, compassion& egalitarianism. This walk is more than sights, it’s a journey of the heart--- of how a space built out of service can become a symbol of unity & heritage.
