Crosstown Concerts presents Echobelly with support from Blue Violet at Docks Academy on Tuesday 26th November!Echobelly, considered by many as one of the major players in the British Britpop scene, are touring the U.K. Winter 2024.
Having a career spanning nearly 30 years and having released seven albums, the band have just recorded their latest studio album with producer Danton Supple (Who has worked with such musical icons as Coldplay, Morrissey, Dave Gahan and Patti Smith to name a few).
Blue Violet are alternative indie duo Sarah McGrigor & Sam Gotley. Their debut album ‘Late Night Calls’ was released April 29th 2022, produced by Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi). Debut single ‘Undercover’ was BBC Radio Scotland’s record of the week, shortly before the band guest session'ed on the station. Follow-up ‘White Beaches’ was picked up by John Kennedy on Radio X & Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music who described them as ‘… a cocktail of Iain Banks and Jane Austen’.
