This shaded loop trail around the tranquil Unicoi Lake is located in the heart of the Georgia Mountains. It is a perfect walk to enjoy the changing colors of the beginning of autumn. You will gather at the parking lot of the upper level of the Lodge.*If you’ve never been to an Echo event, this is the perfect time to come! You will definitely meet other first-timers and leave feeling encouraged and connected*
This will be an easy hike with a difficulty level of D2 with a distance of 2.8 miles.
For your sake and the sake of the group, please do not assume beyond your ability.
D1 Easy (beginner hikers) mostly flat
D2 Easy to moderate (regular hikers) some hills
D3 Moderate (a cardio workout) mountainous
D4 Moderate to strenuous (challenging workout) Steep grades/agility
D5 Strenuous (serious physical challenge) Very steep and far

**PLEASE NOTE: You will need to drive through The Lodge to get to the upper parking deck above The Lodge.

WHAT TO BRING: Small Day Pack to carry your gear- rain jacket, camera, water, snacks, etc.
Optional Things to Bring: Bible, Hiking Poles, First-Aid Kit, GPS.
No children or animals please.

KEEP IN MIND: There are always dangerous and unforeseen elements when out in nature: Cliffs, water hazards, weather, animals, insects, reptiles, falling limbs or rocks, Poison Ivy, Oak, Sumac, etc. Trails may be un-maintained, slippery, rocky, icy and have steep embankments. Shoes and clothing may get muddy or wet. The woods are your bathroom.
