?Latin Grammy Nominee, DJ Ricky Campanelli ?
Ricky Campanelli, from Montreal, Canada, hails from a musical family and developed a deep passion for sound and creative expression. His journey began at Club 649, Montreal's pioneering Latin nightclub, founded by his parents. It was there that he met Jesus "El Nino" Alejandro, a talented singer, musician, and composer who recognized Campanelli's potential and mentored him. In 2001, Campanelli established SoundTrip Studios, collaborating with renowned artists like Edwin Bonilla, Johnny Polanco, and Karl Wolf. He received a Latin Grammy nomination in 2011. With a distinctive style blending vintage salsa, classic swing, and contemporary elements, Campanelli's music pays homage to the timeless allure of old-school salsa. His compositions resonate with passion and soul, evoking emotions that transcend mere auditory experiences. Passion and soul are at the heart of Campanelli’s music. After all, music is not only about what you hear; it’s about what you feel. Come enjoy the infectious energy of Ricky Campanelli's DJ set in the 100% salsa room where he promises an unforgettable night of salsa bliss.
?Salsa/Afro-Cuban Fusion by Johan & Alyssa ?
Johan and Alyssa Ibanez, the dynamic duo behind Timba Tumbao Dallas, have been salsa dancing for over 12 years and have successfully operated their own dance company for more than a decade. With a strong focus on salsa instruction, they have gained recognition for their choreographies that beautifully blend Cuban styles and rhythms, including pachanga, boogaloo, and chachacha. Timba Tumbao Dallas currently runs four dance teams, catering to both co-ed and specialized groups, and has nurtured world champions and finalists within the local dance community. Their expertise has also taken them around the world, where they have been hired for workshops, competition choreographies, and coaching for teams and soloists. Don't miss the opportunity to learn from these incredible instructors, as they will be in Austin teaching a thrilling 90 MINUTE Salsa/Afro-Cuban Fusion at 8:30p!
