Eccleshall Spring Festival – Saturday 22nd March, 12 PM - 5 PMCelebrate the arrival of spring at the inaugural Eccleshall Spring Festival, taking place on Saturday 22nd March along Eccleshall’s picturesque High Street. This vibrant, family-friendly event promises to be a wonderful way to kick off the new season, with something for everyone to enjoy.
At the heart of the festival, we’re thrilled to have Aria Art and Movement CIC bringing their beautiful aerial flower to Eccleshall! This unique attraction will allow visitors to experience creative craft tasters, where you can make your very own flower to take home. Plus, you can try out the aerial flower experience and immerse yourself in this beautiful art form.
The Horn Dance of Abbots Bromley, one of Britain’s oldest folk traditions, will also perform, bringing over 800 years of history and culture to the event. Traditionally performed annually in Abbots Bromley, this ancient custom is sure to mesmerize audiences with its charm and tradition.
Adding a lively touch to the day will be Stafford Morris, a talented mixed (male and female) Morris dancing team performing traditional Cotswold-style Morris dancing, bringing a unique and exciting element to the festival.
Throughout the day, visitors will be able to explore market stalls featuring local traders, artisans, and food vendors, offering handmade crafts, fresh produce, delicious homemade treats, and seasonal delights. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy live music and entertainment, with a special VIBE 1 Roadshow bringing the community atmosphere alive.
The Worshipful the Mayor, Councillor Frank James, and his daughter, Mayoress Mrs. Sara Peters, will officially open the event, marking the beginning of what promises to be a fantastic celebration of spring.
This year’s festival is jam-packed with family-friendly activities, including free bouncy castles, face painting, and workshops, ensuring that there’s something for everyone. It’s the perfect day out to experience Eccleshall’s vibrant community spirit.
Additionally, Eccleshall Community First Responders will be attending the festival, raising funds to support their essential services. Trained by West Midlands Ambulance Service, these volunteers provide emergency medical aid until professional help arrives.
The Eccleshall Spring Festival is supported by Eccleshall Parish Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). The event is organised by LR Partnership Events and Staffordshire Cultural Events CIC, in collaboration with local businesses and organisations.
