About this Event
The Extension and Community Association (ECA), a volunteer group of NC Cooperative Extension, has been making a positive impact in our communities for over 100 years. Originally established to support rural NC farm women and families, ECA has evolved into a dynamic organization focused on personal growth, community service, and skill-building. From teaching food preservation to offering educational resources and programs, our volunteers continue to make a difference.
This session, ECA Beginnings: Join, Learn, and Serve, will provide you with an overview of the history and legacy of ECA, including its roots in supporting North Carolina’s agricultural communities. You’ll also learn about the current organizational structure and discover the many ways you can get involved in ongoing community projects.
Whether you're new to the organization or interested in deepening your involvement, this workshop will offer you the tools and knowledge to start your journey with ECA.
This is a great opportunity to come out and meet new volunteers and learn more about how to get involved with Gaston ECA. For more details contact Linda J. Minges - [email protected] or call 704.866.3607
