Hi all,
The next conservation work day is on Sunday June 16th, from 9AM to noon (Father's Day). We will be working on invasive plant removal, specifically shortpod mustard and castor bean sprouts, and spreading mulch on the affected areas.
Please meet at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center at 9AM. You can RSVP by replying to this message so we can get an accurate count. Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. This month should be kid friendly, they can help mulch or W**d with their parents assistance. The adults will work in a separate area with any sharp tools.
We recommend bringing close toed shoes, pants, a hat, a snack, and a water bottle. Tools will be provided.
Additionally, mark you calendar for July 14th for July's work day. And if you are interested in become a regular volunteer in the nursery in the future, please let me know, we are looking to train some nursery volunteers this summer.
