About this Event
You are not alone with disordered eating.
Join a safe, supportive, confidential space to share with others your difficulties and celebrate your triumphs.
It can be very lonely and isolating when in the grip of bulimia nervosa or binge eating. Even when in recovery, it can be an experience that only other people who have been through it can appreciate.
About me
I am a life-coach in training with lived experience of bulimia. At my worst, it was an addiction that I could not control, food dominated my every waking moment for 40 years. I wished that someone else could take charge of my food and I would not have access to it at all, I would have been relieved of my agony and the Pr*son I had made for myself. One that no one else could see.
These kinds of feelings may resonate with you. Now I am at my best, and in recovery… yes, it’s never too late! I feel empowered and am gaining confidence and learning new skills.
The one thing I wished had been available to me when I was struggling, was an in-person local support group to share my difficulties with.
Where: Village Hall, near Corsham and Chippenham, Wiltshire.
When: First and last Tuesdays of the month, in the afternoons.
Free. Everyone welcome.
