Since becoming a registered nonprofit in 2023, Eat Share has been bouncing around "borrowed spaces" in order to make meals and host events. As our referral numbers continue to increase and our need for growth imminent, one of our big goals for 2025 is to move into our own space where we can safely store excess food and creatively enhance our means of food sharing in north central PA. To accomplish this goal, we continue to lean on the support of the big-hearted communities we serve.
As an appreciative nod toward the kindness shown to us by local businesses, community members, and others who have shared their own space for our events--the Borrowed Spaces series has been developed by our Board of Directors.
These meet & greet events will be hosted in "borrowed spaces" across our service area, bringing the community together to both celebrate our successes this far and continue to discuss how to expand our operations and outreach.
We are kicking off our first event at Sammy's Pizza & Restaurant in Muncy--sharing their brand new, beautiful banquet room. Like Eat Share, this space is a bit of a "hidden gem" and we love the opportunity to spread the word on its availability for rental to the community.
So join us at Sammy's on Sunday, April 27th!
From 12-3pm, we invite current volunteers, friends, donors, business partners, and anyone interested in learning more about Eat Share to come have some fun with us! We will have light refreshments, door prizes, a selfie photo station, and a few rounds of trivia--hosted by our Board of Directors.
Sammy's Pizza & Restaurant will have their full menu and bar available during the event
