Thurs 18th Sept β Eat and Grow Wild: AutumnAn Adult special seasonal well-being walk
Led by Sam Tranter (Gateshead Riverside Park Project Lead) and Than Gunabalasingham (Nourish the Wild), this guided autumn walk invites you to explore the edible and medicinal plants growing around us at this turning point of the year.
Join us for a relaxed and restorative experience by the beautiful River Tyne, where you can:
Appreciate local plants and wildlife
Learn simple mindfulness techniques you can use anytime, anywhere
Open your senses, move your body, and enjoy fresh air
Connect with others, build friendships, and explore volunteering opportunities
πΏ Learn to identify common wild plants and discover their cultural significance, social history, and ecological roles.
π΅ Weβll finish by sharing some herbal teas made from what weβre able to forage β a warming, grounding way to end the walk.
No experience necessary β just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure.
