From the Food Network to Bon Appétit magazine, baker Jessie Sheehan gets plenty of attention for her quick and easy baked goods recipes. Her one-bowl, simple, fast, easy-peasy baking recipes made her a TikTok sensation, with millions of views and plenty of fans. These lickety-split recipes were a game-changing addition to foodie culture when she joined the platform. Now she joins us at the WCW for a delicious luncheon, inspired by recipes from her new book (being released September 24), Salty Cheesy Herby Crispy Snackable Bakes, and a delightful program that will likely convert even those of us who are long-time members of the “never cooking or baking again” gaggle of gals!
The story of Jessie’s professional and personal journey will delight attendees, but here in her own words you’ll get a taste (excuse the pun) of what she’s all about, “Now, I wasn’t always an easy-peasy sweets wizard. In fact, I’ve done time as an actress, a lawyer and a stay-at-home mom. But after abandoning my short-lived and much-despised legal career, and an equally brief stint at home full-time with my then little boys, I began working at Baked in Red Hook, Brooklyn as a junior baker. I knew nothing about baking when I entered the bakery and basically begged for a job, but Matt and Nato (the owners and my now beloved mentors) taught me all they knew, and introduced me to all the desserts I now love best.”
After the luncheon program, Jessie will be signing copies of her cookbooks, which may be purchased by personal check, credit card or cash.
