East Macon, GA – The Raider Booster Club invites the entire East Macon community to pack the house for the 2nd Annual EastSideOutLoud Unity Day – Community Pep Rally on Sunday, January 18, 2026, 3:00 p.m. at Rosa Jackson Recreation Center. This high‑energy celebration will showcase East Macon’s championship athletes, rising student performers, and the strong community spirit that fuels Raider Nation.Event Purpose and Community Spirit
EastSideOutLoud Unity Day is designed to uplift students, families, and neighbors by celebrating excellence in arts, athletics, and academics while strengthening pride in East Macon Raider schools. The event reflects the Raider Booster Club’s mission to foster a nurturing atmosphere where teamwork, sportsmanship, creativity, and community uplift are front and center.
Honoring Champions and Community Leaders
EastSideOutLoud Unity Day will feature:
• Acknowledgment of Region Champion Northeast Football team and Countywide Champion Northeast Wrestling team for their outstanding seasons.
• Introduction of the NEW ERA of Northeast Basketball with Coach Little and the Raider basketball team.
• Special school presentations from Appling Middle, Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary, Burdell‑Hunt Elementary, and Bernd Elementary, highlighting the talent pipeline across East Macon schools.
In addition, the program will include:
• The Community Spirit Stick Award presented to Dexter Whitby Sr. for exemplary dedication to Raider Nation.
• A special recognition of Senator David & Elaine Lucas honoring decades of unwavering commitment and advocacy for East Macon.
• A formal acknowledgment of elected officials in attendance as partners in youth and community development.
Entertainment, Vendors, and Community Resources
The pep rally will feature a festive game‑day atmosphere with:
• DJ AD keeping the energy high.
• Live performances by the Northeast Red Marching Machine Band and Northeast Cheerleaders.
• Special Live Performances
To support families and strengthen community connections, the event will also include:
• Community resource tables sharing information on youth programs, health, education, and family services.
• Student & Retail vendors offering Raider‑friendly merchandise and local products.
• Food trucks providing a variety of food options for purchase
Call to Action for Community Stakeholders
The Raider Booster Club is calling on:
• School leaders, teachers, and coaches to share with students, teams, clubs, bands, and families to represent their campuses.
• Churches and faith leaders to promote EastSideOutLoud Unity Day from the pulpit, bulletins, and social media as a positive outlet for youth and families.
• Local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to attend, set up resource tables, and stand visibly in support of East Macon students.
Everyone is encouraged to wear school colors, Raider gear, or East Macon‑inspired attire and flood the gym with EastSideOutLoud pride!
