Eastgate 2025 Annual Meeting

This year, Eastgate is excited to present our 2025 Annual Meeting, where we will provide key updates on the progress of our ongoing initiatives and celebrate the strides we've made in advancing regional development. Attendees can expect an engaging session highlighting the agency's work in transportation planning and infrastructure, water quality planning and improvement projects, economic development initiatives, broadband expansion efforts, and the implementation of the Appalachian Community Grant Program projects that span our region. Additionally, we will showcase our newest venture into housing with the completion of our Regional Housing Strategy, a significant milestone in addressing housing needs within our region.

The meeting will also feature the first-ever Eastgate Community Leadership Award presentation, recognizing individuals or organizations who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in shaping the future of our region. As a special highlight, Chris Allen, Director of Events and Partnerships at Strong Towns, will deliver the keynote address. His presentation, Escaping the Housing Trap, will explore the root causes of the housing crises in American cities and present actionable solutions to create more sustainable, resilient, and adaptive housing systems.
