Rookie Lifeguard Camp is aimed at 8-12 year olds to provide a fun and safe way to learn lifesaving skills and water safety from qualified and registered Rookie Lifeguard Trainers.As a Rookie Lifeguard you will equip your child with the ability to save both yours and the lives of others.
The Rookie programme is divided into 3 stages: Bronze, Silver and Gold, where Rookies can work towards achieving official certification for each stage.
Children must be able to:
Swim 25 meters front crawl
Swim on their back
Swim breast stroke
Tread water for 1 minute
Bring an old t-shirt and shorts to wear in the water.
*Please note that this course does not certify the child as a fully qualified lifeguard, but is a good stepping stone towards working in that area in the future.
