Specializing in original artwork and immersive workshops, the business offers a range of experiences for individuals of all backgrounds to explore this cherished and unique, UNESCO recognized, Ukrainian Folk Art Called Petrykivka.
Olena offers art classes, workshops for all ages, corporate clients as well her own original artwork in both Fine Arts and Petrykivka Folk Art.
1. Introduction – Olena will start by introducing herself and sharing a brief history of her experience and education.
2. Overview of Petrykivka Art – Olena will introduce Petrykivka, the UNESCO-recognized Ukrainian folk art style you’ll use for the Easter Egg painting.
3. Demonstration – Olena demonstrate one-stroke painting, showing how to create traditional strokes for leaves and flowers.
4. Practice – You'll practice the strokes on paper and create leaf and flower first, and painting floral patterns.
5. Egg Painting – Once you’re comfortable with the technique, we’ll transfer the pattern onto the Easter egg. Everyone will take their hand-painted Easter Egg home!
Materials provided:
• 4 sheets of premium-quality color paper for practice
• Multi-surface premium acrylic paint (full color palette)
• One Craft Egg per person (with a selection of colors)
• Dotting tools
• Handmade brush for fine details
• Round synthetic brush
• Paper towels
• Q-tips
• Pencils and erasers
• Water containers
