On our fun and informative workshop, you’ll learn some basic recipes that you can then adapt at home to create a variety of options. We’ll look at the ingredients and techniques – and basic principles so you can adapt recipes the to include variations. We’ll discuss ingredients and techniques to ensure your cakes and bakes are light and delicious.
The course is hands-on – we’ll make our cakes and buns from scratch. There will be time to discuss, taste and compare notes. You’ll leave inspired and ready to experiment at home.
The course is suitable for beginners and people with some experience interested in trying out something new. Please bring large boxes and a bag to take home your creations.
This workshop can be adapted to suit your dietary requirements. Please let us know about any allergies or intolerences when booking.
This workshop will be led by Jackie Vural. Jackie is an experienced cook of many cuisines with a particular passion for bread making. Jackie is a regular Lang Spoon Community Kitchen tutor and has worked with Greener Kirkcaldy for many years. She loves sharing her skills.
