This is a moderately challenging walk that starts in the lovely village of Eastcote, and winds
through beautiful open rolling countryside and picturesque hamlets. We will cross an old railway line used for transporting local ironstone, before descending on a quiet country lane to Blisworth Marina and the Grand Union Canal. A peek through the hedgerow ‘windows’ will reveal some wide ranging views of Northamptonshire. Enjoy the varied wildlife and colourful narrow boats on the canal before bracing yourself for the steep climb towards the lovely village of Gayton. Take time to look back and enjoy the stunning views. From Gayton, look out for wild deer as we cross the fields towards Eastcote for a well earned rest, and possibly a drink at the Eastcote Arms.
Small dogs only please as there are some stiles on the trail.

Please arrive by 8.45 am we will set off at 9 am sharp. If this is your first AG walk, then please arrive nice and early and seek out the walk leader who will be wearing a red "walk leader" pin badge.

� RULES TO KEEP YOU SAFE :
-We walk in all weathers, however, if we have a weather warning then the event may be cancelled. Keep an eye on your emails and the Facebook event page for notifications of any cancellations.
-We will only ever walk in groups of 15 or less. If we have more than 15, we will usually have two walk leaders and walk in opposite directions.
-We supply free sweets at the halfway stage - we call this "squidge and dip" - hand sanitiser, then dip in for your free sweets.
