The popular Beats on the Bayou concert series returns with a fresh slate of performances on the first Friday of each month from 6 to 9 PM at The Bayou Park. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for a relaxed, family-friendly waterfront concert experience.
The Friday, March 6 spring kickoff event, “Zydeco” Beats on the Bayou, will feature:
- A live performance by Marcus Ardoin & Da Zydeco Legendz (@marcusardoin_mr.rockinit) a Houston-based, high-energy zydeco band known for keeping crowds on the dance floor with a mix of traditional Louisiana grooves and modern flair.
- A line dance class led by Line Dance Instructor & DJ Upperechalan (@upperechalan) followed by a high-energy DJ set that turns the lawn into an open-air dance floor.
- Crawfish available for purchase from City Cellars
- East River–branded cowboy hats for the first 60 guests, including a “build your own cowboy hat” customization station
- A mechanical bull activation for two hours during the event
