The bios are below for the artist's leading on the day...
Amy is a senior dance artist and rehearsal director for Stopgap Dance Company, rehearsaldirector for Akram Khan Company specifically for their work for young people,choreographer and performer for Highly Sprung Performance Co. and performer andrehearsal director for Sophie Nüzel.
Since 2020 Amy has been instrumental in the development of ‘Home Practice’ a YouTubechannel specifically for dance and designed to be inclusive and available to all. One of hermain areas of research is in inclusive movement practices and last year she was awardedDYCP funding to continue to input into this area of her work.Amy’s previous work includes performing ‘Adrenaline Rush’ at the Royal Albert Hall for theFestival of Remembrance, ‘Hope’ at Wembley Arena for the Paralympic Home Comingevent and ‘Abide with Me’ at the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympics.
She has extensive dance theatre experience working with Aracaladanza, Cas public,Lastheatre, State of Emergency, Telling Tales and Highly Sprung Performance Co. AtLondon Southbank University Amy created and facilitated a movement module for actors.
Karla is a freelance Dance Artist working across the East Midlands as well as performing nationally. She works with the principals of Universal Accessibility meaning access for all is a priority in every aspect of her dance career and life. She trained as an Inclusive Practitioner with FABRIC (Dance 4's) Integrated Traineeship 2012-2013 and has worked inclusively ever since. She has facilitated and performed extensively in shows and workshops for the PMLD and LD community with LEVEL and Deda as well as producing shows and events for Hubbub Theatre Company. She is currently the Administrator for the network, puppeteer with Inspirate 'Ancient Giants' and is working to raise the profile of older person's dance across the East Midlands.
