About this Event
East Lake was founded in 1892 by the East Lake Land Company and chartered into its own city in 1908. Alston Drive (originally Morgan Drive) formed a thoroughfare of summer homes, golf legends, and cottages. East Lake was incorporated into the city of Atlanta in 1928. East Lake Golf Club was founded in 1904 by the Atlanta Athletic Club on the grounds of an old amusement park. The first club house and 18 hole golf course opened in 1908.
This tour will cover about 2 miles, 90 minutes. The street is shady for most of it.
Tickets are required; no walkups allowed.
